What do you like about Scarborough UTC Sixth Form?

I like the supportive atmosphere of Scarborough UTC sixth form the most, the students and staff are positive and welcoming. Our teachers are amazing, and they are always there to help if we need it. The facilities we have are great, they give us the chance to get hands on which really helps excel our understanding of theoretical work that may be hard to understand from a textbook.

How has Scarborough UTC helped you for your future?

Scarborough UTC has given me a variety of opportunities that could be used to expedite my career. For example, I have taken part in multiple Royal Navy challenges which rewarded me with many transferrable skills. This also meant I could use my experiences gained here to accelerate my application for the Navy. In addition, I was given help for my interview from my mentor who is a graduate engineer via our career’s development program.

What would you say to somebody who is looking for Sixth Form options about Scarborough UTC?

Scarborough UTC is a great place to study and has consistently improved during my 4 years here. There are many different qualifications to choose from and great teachers who deliver the courses with ongoing support. The opportunities are like no other, ranging from exchanges to Austria to taking part in the F1 in school’s challenge. I have had a great time at this college and I will always appreciate the skills I have learnt here.
